APEX imagines a modern Earth after an overwhelming alien invasion. Cities still stand, but much of the world has become a controlled occupation zone, its familiar landmarks threaded with towering extraterrestrial structures and terraforming systems. Human beings are monitored, manipulated and in many cases converted into mind-controlled workers serving the invaders' reconstruction of the planet. The central tension comes from survival, resistance and the question of what remains of human identity when even thought can be occupied.

The setting is modern Earth under domination, where familiar skylines are fused with alien structures and surveillance systems.

The invaders are not merely ruling the planet. They are remaking it into something suited to their own future.
